How to assign a work order
Learn how to assign a single work order or in bulk.

Assign a technician to multiple work orders at once:

From the Work Order module, click List on the toolbar.
The Expanded Work Order List view opens.

Use the filters at the top to narrow down the work orders you want to assign.
For example, you could filter the list to show all open work orders.

Click the check boxes for every work order you want to assign.
You can also click the check at the top of the first column to select all work orders in the list (with filters applied).

Click Assign at the bottom of the page.
The Assign Labor window opens.

In Assign to enter or select a technician.

To set the assignments for a specific time of day, select No for the Anytime? setting and specify the assignment time.
You must enable assignment time tracking to set an assignment for a specific time. We explain this preference in work order scheduling administration.

To remove existing assignments on the selected work orders, select Remove existing assignments (reassign).

Click Apply.
All selected work orders are assigned to the technician.
